Old Memories - New Beginnings

Such a long time, since I started these props, compared to the skills I have now.

My Zelda project is going underway, and I'm pretty happy to finally retire these, and hang them up on my wall. They were made for the release of Skyward Sword, when the design wasn't set in stone, and all I had was the excitement of Nintendo's E3 conference, and their short trailer for references. I couldn't afford fancy materials, so I collected all the cardboard, and packaging foam I could find at work. With several sleepless nights, they were done. No regrets.

It's been 7 years, since I first started cosplaying in 2008. Trying new techniques, learning new skills, and always pushing forward to get better. I support everyone who tries this hobby, and to not give up. I found my passion in props and armor (still can't sew a straight line to save myself...), so starting in 2016, the Hyrule Chronicles project I had my heart set on since I was a kid, will finally begin. Recreating all the items in Ocarina of Time, doing a storybook style memoir with both photography, and story-telling aspects. Behind the scenes tutorials and WIPs of all items as they're created, and guest appearance of other talented cosplayers joining the fun.

This is a non-profit project, for Zelda fans, from Zelda fans, and all copyrights are to their respectful owners. I'll post more information throughout this year, including a call list to cosplayers wanting to fill character roles. We currently have a 5 year plan set, each month dedicated to specific items in the chronicle telling of events of Adult Link in Ocarina of Time. (Big shout out to the amazing "Zelda Project" team who's been recreating amazing artwork and photography too! Ours in humbling in comparison, and will mostly be run by a one man show.)

It's not meant to be an exact replica, but an alternate style of a beloved story, in our own beautiful world. Always look for new adventures, travel the world to meet new people, take chances.
