3rd favorite bird at the aviary, the Victoria Crowned Pigeon~

First of two photographs of this awesome bird. This guy is big (slightly smaller than a wild turkey to give you an idea), very confident, and almost seemed like he was patrolling the area, and the people passing by. If you try to take his picture, he tends to start grooming to present himself in the best light. I'm a little sad that I didn't get a good shot of his feet, they also look amazing.

**All these birds were a great help in learning photography, with their patience, and a lot of practice! All images in this set, were taken with a Canon Powershot SD1100 IS. All resized for uploading purposes, but not edited or cropped. I wanted to learn how to take good pictures the first try, and I hope I'm heading in the right direction! After bugs, nature, and birds... I'm hoping to learn with people! Wish me luck!
